Contribuer au mandat d’Environnement et Changement climatique Canada de s’assurer que les écosystèmes aquatiques sont conservés et protégés. Contribuer à la Direction des sciences et technologies de l'eau en menant des recherches sur l'écologie chimique et microbienne des proliférations d'algues cyanobactériennes et nuisibles et leurs impacts dans les grandes eaux intérieures.
