Résumé en langage clair

The swede midge, Contarinia nasturtii, is a significant pest of crucifer vegetable crops and canola in eastern Canada. In 2007, swede midge was identified in Saskatchewan, but it has yet to establish. Due to the threat of swede midge to canola in western Canada, we investigated the transcriptome of swede midge larvae in order to gain insight into midge-host plant interactions. The knowledge gained by researching these interactions may have implications for pest management.
