Current research and/or projects

My main research program is focused on taxonomic, molecular phylogenetic and genomic studies of zoosporic fungi with an emphasis on those that are agriculturally important. At the moment, I work on: the fungus causing potato wart, Synchytrium endobioticum, and its relatives in Chytridiomycota; Pythium species and related genera in the Oomycota.
