Late blight is the most important disease of potatoes and tomatoes in Canada. In this paper, a brief overview was summarized on late blight disease occurrence in Canada, the changes in the pathogen population across country and their impact of the late blight management.
Résumé
Late blight (Phytophthora infestans) is the most devastating foliar disease of potatoes and tomatoes in British Columbia and other provinces of Canada. In this proceeding summary, a brief over view of late blight disease incidence in Canada, dynamics of population biology in Canada and across globe and available management options were presented.
