This invited seminar prepared and delivered on June 28 2022 by Dr. Badea as part of the “Food for Thought” Canadian Centre for Agri-Food Research in Health and Medicine (CCARM) Seminar Series, provides insights into barley for food origin, uses, health and nutrition benefits as well as the breeding and research conducted by Dr. Badea and her collaborators for this barley class. Information about the hulless for food barley cultivars developed by the program was also presented.
