AAFC Prairie Biovigilance Wheat Leaf Spot Survey – 2021

This was a report presented at the 46th Annual Meeting of the Western Committee on Plant Disease. It summarized the research done by members of the AAFC Prairie Biovigilance Network on a wheat leaf spot survey that was initiated in 2021 under the leadership of Dr. Kelly Turkington. This was a producer participation project in which interested producers sampled their fields for wheat leaves that were sent to Dr. Turkington for analysis. Dr. Turkington analyzed these samples for leaf spotting disease severity and distributed the infected leaf samples to colleagues for analysis of the causal species.
