Tara est responsable de la préservation et de la fourniture des cultures fongiques de la Collection canadienne de cultures fongiques. Cette collection agit comme un référentiel comprenant des souches importantes pour l'agriculture et l'environnement. Les clients comprennent des chercheurs d'Agriculture et Agroalimentaire Canada, des ministères fédéraux et provinciaux, des universités et du secteur privé.
