Contribution aux gouvernements d'Environnement et Changement climatique Canada afin d'évaluer l'impact humain / urbain sur le climat

  • Évaluer les impacts urbains et humains sur le climat en utilisant des mesures à long terme des aérosols atmosphériques et des gaz
  • Recherche sur l'évolution des propriétés optiques des particules atmosphériques et leurs impacts sur le climat
  • Participer à des campagnes de terrain à court terme pour approfondir nos connaissances sur le traitement atmosphérique des particules ambiantes
  • Améliorer la compréhension des impacts des émissions naturelles et anthropiques au Canada sur le climat local et régional

Activités professionnelles / intérêts

Collaborer avec les agences gouvernementales et les partenaires du projet de l'industrie pour explorer une stratégie et des options permettant de réduire les émissions de carbone noir, de particules fines et de gaz à effet de serre provenant de différentes sources de combustion (véhicules, turbines d'aviation, navires, etc.).

Collaborer avec les organismes gouvernementaux et les responsables de projets de l'industrie pour développer et faire la démonstration de dispositifs perfectionnés de contrôle des émissions des véhicules (par exemple, filtre à particules d'essence) afin de réduire les émissions de particules de carbone noir provenant des véhicules futurs.
Rechercher et évaluer les avantages de l'utilisation de divers carburants renouvelables sur les véhicules, les turbines d'aviation et les navires afin de réduire les émissions toxiques.

Caractérisation en temps réel des fines particules de carbone et des émissions de gaz à effet de serre provenant de différentes sources de combustion interne (véhicules, turbines aéronautiques et navires, par exemple).
