Recherche et / ou projets en cours
Responsable de la cartographie superficielle du projet GEM- 2 visant la région Hudson-Ungava (2014-2017). La recherche actuelle vise notamment à faire la cartographie de la géologie de surface et à découvrir l’histoire glaciaire d’une région sous-explorée, tout en poursuivant la recherche d’éventuels gisements miniers et l’exploitation des richesses du Nord canadien.
Activités professionnelles / intérêts
- En tant que responsable du projet GEM1, établissement des protocoles sur le terrain concernant l’échantillonnage de la géologie de surface sur le terrain ainsi que le traitement des échantillons et mise en place des mesures d’assurance et de contrôle de la qualité (AQ/CQ). La compilation des protocoles comprend également la publication des pratiques de sécurité sur le terrain.
- Préparation de la prochaine génération de géologues de surface du Canada par l’entremise du soutien logistique, de la supervision conjointe et du mentorat d’étudiants diplômés.
- Recherche active en matière de dispersion glaciaire de minéraux par la voie de glaces se déplaçant rapidement (courants glaciaires).
- Collaboration et jumelage des intérêts de recherche avec les milieux universitaires
