Recherche et / ou projets en cours

Ma recherche s'est tournée récemment vers l'application de la génétique moléculaire et générale aux questions qui se posent en biologie des salmonidés.

Énoncés de recherches/projets

Mes projets incluaient notamment les suivants:

  1. Production de salmonidés transgéniques possédant des caractéristiques améliorées en matière de croissance, d'indice de consommation, de résistance à la maladie et de qualité de la chair; on y met l'accent sur la production d'informations scientifiques objectives qui serviront à évaluer le potentiel de cette technologie et des risques qui lui sont associés;
  2. Mise au point de méthodes diagnostiques moléculaires portant spécifiquement sur le sexe génétique, les marqueurs de la réponse au stress et à la pollution, et plusieurs parasites pathogènes infectant les salmonidés sauvages et d'élev ge;
  3. Evaluation de la base génétique de la domestication chez les salmonidés;
  4. Détermination de la relation génétique entre espèces et souches de salmonidés, et application de marqueurs moléculaires variables à leurs caractéristiques quantitatives (p. ex. maturation précoce) à des fins de reproduction;
  5. Développement et évaluation des méthodes de confinement biologique.
