Les principaux efforts comprennent l'utilisation de la télédétection par satellite pour faire progresser la recherche et les aications sur la qualité de l'air (c'est-à-dire la surveillance de la qualité de l'air, les évaluations des modèles de qualité de l'air, les effets cumulatifs des dépôts et les émissions de polluants).
