Modélisation et interprétation des recherches portant sur le cycle du carbone, les sources d’émission et la quantification des puits; élaboration de politiques et de réglementation relatives au climat. Informations complémentaires : Programme canadien de mesure des gaz à effet de serre dans l'atmosphère.

  • Effectuer l'analyse scientifique et l'interprétation des tendances spatiales et temporelles des gaz à effet de serre présents dans l'atmosphère. 
  • Identifier les causes probables des variations atmosphériques observées dans les données de mesure.  
  • Appliquer les résultats de la modélisation du transport atmosphérique et des données sur les gaz à effet de serre pour quantifier les émissions nationales et régionales des gaz à effet de serre naturels et anthropiques.
  • Coauteur, Évaluation scientifique canadienne du smog, 2012, Environnement Canada et Santé Canada.
  • Coauteur, Initiative sur les normes agroenvironnementales nationales (INAEN) 2009, Environnement Canada en partenariat avec Agriculture et Agroalimentaire Canada.

Activités professionnelles / intérêts

Établit des liens et développe la coopération entre le Canada et les scientifiques internationales engagées dans la recherche connexe.

Co-auteur de la Force opérationnelle du transport hémisphérique des polluants atmosphériques (TF HTAP) évaluation (2010).

Conférencier invité sur les statistiques appliquées aux données sur la qualité de l'air, de l'Université McMaster (2007, Toronto, Canada).

Chargé de cours invité sur les statistiques et la qualité de l'air et exposé au cours de l'atelier sur la qualité de l’air de 2006 (2006, Alberta, Canada).

Exposé sur invitation à un séminaire sur les techniques de modélisation source-récepteur (2005, Toronto, Canada).
