Dre Wallace est une nouvelle scientifique d’AAC et elle élabore un programme de recherche dans le domaine de la microbiomique alimentaire. Son programme de recherche portera notamment sur les domaines suivants : 1) le devenir des agents pathogènes d’origine alimentaire et des micro-organismes d’altération sur les produits agroalimentaires; 2) l’écologie et la résistance aux antimicrobiens des agents pathogènes d’origine alimentaire sur les produits horticoles et l’environnement; enfin, 3) les stratégies de contrôle possibles pour réduire le risque de maladie humaine liée à la consommation de produits horticoles contaminés.

En 2018, elle a obtenu un doctorat en microbiologie, Département de biologie de l’Université de la Colombie-Britannique.

En 2013, elle a obtenu un baccalauréat ès sciences (avec mention) en microbiologie, de l’École supérieure des arts et des sciences Irving K. Barber de l’Université de la Colombie-Britannique.

En 2017, elle a obtenu une bourse de recherche postdoctorale Endeavour, offerte par le gouvernement australien.

 

Expérience et / ou de travail international

Elle a obtenu une bourse de recherche postdoctorale du National Center for Epidemiology and Population Health, Australian National University, Australie, 2018-2020.

En 2017, elle a été stagiaire en microbiologie, au Laboratoire de microbiologie alimentaire et de conservation des aliments, à l’Université de Ghent, en Belgique.
