Détermination des sources et du devenir des polluants organiques persistants (POP) nouveaux, tels que les ignifugeants bromés, les composés d'organosilicium et les colorants artificiels, dans l'Arctique et les Grands Lacs
- Détermination des répercussions des méthylsilicones volatils sur l'environnement canadien et la santé des Canadiens dans le cadre du Plan de gestion des produits chimiques
- Utilisation de techniques fondées sur la spectrométrie de masse lors de l'identification et de la caractérisation des polluants organiques persistants (POP) nouveaux dans l'environnement; lors de la caractérisation des substances de composition inconnue ou variable par chromatographie en phase gazeuse et spectrométrie de masse et à temps de vol et par chromatographie en phase liquide et spectrométrie de masse quadrupôle et à temps de vol
- Méthodes d'analyse permettant de quantifier les nouveaux ignifugeants bromés par chromatographie en phase gazeuse et spectrométrie de masse à haute résolution et par chromatographie en phase liquide et spectrométrie de masse
- Élaboration de nouvelles techniques d'échantillonnage et d'analyse pour simplifier le processus de définition des contaminants dans les matrices environnementales
