Mise au point de méthodes pour les laboratoires de microbiologie alimentaire

Recherche et / ou projets en cours

Le programme de recherche actuel de Mme Carrillo porte essentiellement sur l’application des technologies de séquençage du génome complet (SGC) pour la détection, l’identification et la caractérisation des bactéries pathogènes d’origine alimentaire. Au cours des quatre dernières années, le laboratoire de Mme Carrillo a séquencé plusieurs milliers de génomes bactériens et ces travaux ont mené à la mise en place de méthodes de SGC en temps réel de bactéries pathogènes isolées dans le cadre des programmes d’analyse des aliments de l’ACIA. Ses travaux de recherche en cours comprennent notamment la mise au point d’outils de prédiction des phénotypes bactériens fondés sur les données du SGC et l’application de technologies nouvelles (p. ex. la métagénomique) dans le but d’améliorer les méthodes de détection des bactéries pathogènes.
