Je me concentre sur le développement, les tests et l’évaluation des meilleurs modèles opérationnels des vagues et je tente d’améliorer leur précision et leur efficacité. Pour y parvenir, je dois composer avec:

  • les prédictions des vents marins
  • les dynamiques entre atmosphère et océan
  • la physique des vagues, incluant les interactions entre les vagues elles-mêmes et les interactions entre les vagues et les courants
  • les changements de niveau d’eau dû aux marées ou aux tempêtes, particulièrement dans les environnement côtiers peu profonds
  • des grilles spatiales non structurées et des résolutions établies à des temps variables
  • des grilles unidirectionnelles, bidirectionnelles et multidirectionnelles.
