Arnaud Mosnier

Titulaire d'une maîtrise en gestion de la faune et de ses habitats (UQAR) et d'un doctorat en biologie (UQAM-UQAR), Arnaud Mosnier a dans un premier temps étudié la sélection de l'habitat de plusieurs espèces de mammifères terrestres (caribou, ours noir, orignal). Son expertise dans les méthodes d'analyse de mouvement et son application à une espèce marine (le béluga) l'a ensuite amené à travailler avec le Ministère des Pêches et des Océans.
Biologiste au sein de l'équipe « Biologie et conservation des mammifères marins » depuis 2009, ses travaux incluent entre autres l'utilisation d'analyses spatiales visant à déterminer les habitats préférentiels d'espèces gérées par Pêches et Océans Canada (baleines, phoques, tortues marines) et le développement de modèles de dynamique des populations (béluga, phoque du Groenland, morse). Il participe également aux travaux de terrain (inventaire aérien ou par bateau, marquage, pose de balises) portant sur l'écologie des phoques, des morses et des cétacés.
