Mise au point de nouvelles méthodes d’extraction automatisée des informations sur les glaces et les océans à partir d’un radar à synthèse d’ouverture (RSO) embarqué dans l’optique d’améliorer les systèmes de prévision numérique d’ECCC.

Énoncés de recherches/projets

Direction du développement d'un système de suivi du mouvement de la glace de mer fonctionnant avec des images RADARSAT-2 RSO (2008-2010). ECCC a utilisé ce système pour produire des cartes du mouvement de la glace dans tout l’Arctique.

A dirigé le développement de modèles d'extraction de la vitesse du vent à la surface de l'océan fonctionnant avec des images RADARSAT-2 RSO (2010-2011). ECCC a utilisé ces modèles pour produire des cartes des vents sur les zones côtières canadiennes.

Responsable scientifique de l'assimilation de données RSO spatiales dans les systèmes de prévision numérique des glaces de mer d'ECCC
