Forages and beef

Successful solutions

  • Developed and implemented an integrated set of agronomic practices for the production of the world’s first-ever forage specifically tailored to the needs of dry cows. The production of forages low in potassium and rich in chloride can minimize the use of anionic salts in dry cow rations and lower the risk of milk fever, a metabolic disorder representing losses of around $33 million/year. This innovation is being used by a large number of stakeholders.
  • Developed a set of agronomic practices to produce forages rich in non-structural carbohydrates.
