‘Valley Sunset’ Strawberry.

‘Valley Sunset’, a short-day strawberry (Fragaria xananassa Duchesne ex Rozier), was commercially introduced in Canada in May 2009 by the Atlantic Food and Horticulture Research Center of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC). ‘Valley Sunset’ produces medium yields of very large, sweet-tasting fruit ripening in the late season offering growers a cultivar to extend the harvest season beyond that of ‘Cabot’ and ‘Bounty’.
