Abstract

Abiotic stress refers to adverse environmental conditions that threaten plant growth and development, leading to reduced yields of field crops. It is one of the major threats to agriculture. The author has given a thorough review on the types of abiotic stresses, how crop plants react to these stress factors, and agronomic measures to mitigate abiotic stresses.
