I am utilizing modern plant breeding tools such as RNAi and CRISPR/Cas9 to develop alfalfa genotypes which can perform better during the adverse climatic conditions, particularly drought and waterlogging. I have developed some promising genotypes capable of withstanding drought and waterlogging, and I am currently dedicated to unraveling the underlying mechanisms of abiotic stress tolerance in these RNAi and genome-edited genotypes
