- Research technician in the climate change program of the Canadian Forest Service
- Provide field and laboratory support for a monitoring study called CIPHA (Climate Impacts on Productivity and Health of Aspen)
- Primary focus is dendrochronology (tree ring analysis to see how trees grow in response to a varying climate and pest influences)
- Provide training and expertise in dendrochronological methods and analysis
- Field identification of forest insect and diseases and diagnosis of tree mortality
