Tobie Surette
Current research and/or projects
Research interests include morphometric analysis, animal abundance estimation, spatial distribution and popluation dynamics. Present duties are stock assessment of groundfish stocks in the southern Gulf of St. Lawrence. Developping more flexible mixed Poisson models for analyzing survey count data. Applying mixture models to identify and characterize species assemblages. Using both frequentist and Bayesian approaches.
