Current research and/or projects

Contributing to Environment Canada’s mandate to ensure wildlife is conserved and protected

  • Studying the effects of persistent contaminants on wildlife reproduction, survival and health
  • Monitoring of spatial and temporal trends with respect to contaminants in wildlife
  • Examining the effects of current use pesticides and environmental contaminants on reptiles
  • Relating mutation rates in double-crested cormorants with airborne exposure to PAHs
  • Investigate the toxicity and bioaccumulation of priority organic contaminants (e.g., azo dyes, pharmaceuticals, phthalates) to aquatic animals

Professional activities / interests

Member of the Ontario Multi-Species Turtle at Risk Recovery Team (OMSTARRT)
