Scott A. Redhead, Ph.D.

Research Scientist (mycology); Curator - National Mycological Herbarium

Primarily conducts research on the taxonomy and nomenclature of a group of fungi classified as the Agaricomycetes, which includes mushrooms, polypores, puffballs, and assorted other Basidiomycota; and orther fungi, including fleshy Ascomycotina considered to be mushrooms. Also conducts research on disease and decay causing Agaricomycetes. Curates, and supports the collection manager for the National Mycological Herbarium of Canada, known officially by the Index Herbariorum acronym, DAOM.
