Current research and/or projects

  • Assists with the development of the GNWT Forest Health Monitoring program by establishing monitoring, reporting, and data capture procedures, providing training to GNWT staff, and restructuring their historic forest pest spatial database
  • Monitoring and reporting on park forest health conditions for Wood Buffalo and Nahanni national parks
  • Assists in development and maintenance of national forest health related spatial data sets, such as the extent of the North American boreal zone (Brandt 2009)
  • Manages CFS Northern Region’s forest health spatial databases
  • Provides GIS and field support for research projects
  • Executive committee member for Western Canada Forest Health Working Group
  • An administrator for CFS Northern Region’s Library of Geographic Data
