Current research and/or projects

  • Conducting research into the production of biomass from short rotation woody crops like willows and poplars
  • Incorporating municipal wastewater and biosolids treatment into crop production
  • Investigating the potential of using willows for reclamation and phytoremediation of forest landscapes disturbed by industrial activity (i.e. oilsands extraction)
  • Also interested in plantation establishment and intensive stand management.
