- Development of specialized fire management computer products
- Reception and processing of Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer satellite imagery
- Application of forest fire weather information in other systems (FireMARS, Drought Monitor)
- Content development for federal emergency response plans
- Facilitation of forest fire information flow within NRCan and between NRCan and external agencies
