Biologist echinoderms and macroalgae

Fisheries and Oceans Canada

Current research and/or projects

I am biologist at Fisheries and Oceans Canada (Maurice Lamontagne Institute) working on echinoderms (sea cucumbers and sea urchins) and macroalgae. I am also interested in the role of benthic biodiversity on ecosystem functioning, and the impact of aquaculture and hypoxia on benthic communities.

Research and/or project statements

  • Sea cucumber reproduction (Cucumaria frondosa)
  • Sea cucumber stock assessment
  • Green sea urchin stock assessment (Strongylocentrotus droebachiensis)
  • Macroalgae stock assessment

Professional activities / interests
