Pierre Carter

Current research and/or projects

Pierre Carter joined the Department of Fisheries and Oceans in 1983. After 7 years with the Sampling and Analysis Section and 7 years with the Aquaculture Section, he joined the Pinniped Research Team of the Marine Mammals Section in 1996 as a research technician.

Mr. Carter is responsible for the seal diet reconstructions, maintaining the seal database and organizing the sampling program. Current activities include involvement in live-capture and satellite recorder deployments, population surveys, sampling programs, and necropsies of stranded marine mammals.
