Nicolas Benoit

What is the focus of you research?

Mr. Benoit conducts scientific research in the field of hydrogeology, geostatistics and machine learning.  He is particularly interested in numerical modeling of the architecture of complex aquifer systems and resulting groundwater processes.  His expertise includes the development of stochastic methods for characterisation of hydrostratigraphic heterogeneities and quantification of the effect of the uncertainty on the groundwater flow.

What is the significance of your research?

Mr. Benoit’s results contribute to a better understanding of the relationship between the hydrostratigraphic units and the groundwater flow and evolution of groundwater quality present in these units.
