Nelson Thiffault, ing.f., Ph.D.

I am a governmental research scientist based in Québec, Canada, with a focus on addressing challenges related to regeneration silviculture. My research encompasses various areas, including reforestation, competition, density management, ecophysiology, nutrition, and ecology. Since 2005, I have served as an Associate Editor (AE) for the Canadian Journal of Forest Research. Additionally, I held the AE position for New Forests from 2005 to 2020. I also hold the role of Adjunct Professor in multiple universities across Québec, Ontario, and New Brunswick. In this capacity, I actively participate in mentoring and supervising graduate students. Since 2007, I have been a member of the Centre for Forest Research.
