  • Responsible for the strategic direction and management of science programs at the Atlantic Forestry Centre and Canadian Forest Service
  • Delivers science and technology required at the local, national and international levels
  • Responsible, in particular, for Atlantic Forestry Centre-Corner Brook Office administration and fiscal management
  • Liaises with forest stakeholders, especially in matters of: Ecosystem based management frameworks, climate change impacts and adaptation, pest management issues, biodiversity and carbon science.
  • AFC representative for the formal partnership agreement between the Newfoundland Forest Service and Memorial University of Newfoundland-Corner Brook
  • Aids in Canadian Wood Fibre Centre efforts for Newfoundland and Labrador
