Development of air quality (AQ) models for short-term AQ forecasting and the assessment of emission management approaches
- Regional PM (particulate matter) modelling: development, evaluation and application of an Eulerian PM model (AURAMS: A Unified Regional Air-quality Modelling System)
- Operational air-quality forecasting: improvements to current off-line operational air quality forecast model (CHRONOS) and development of a new on-line air quality model (GEM-MACH)
- Acid deposition modelling: improvements to modelling tools and assessment of impact on future acid deposition of proposed changes in acidifying emissions
- Emissions processing and modelling: development and application of improved techniques and data sources for providing high-resolution anthropogenic and biogenic emissions to air quality models

Served as external peer reviewer of two U.S. modelling programs; provided peer reviews to 14 scientific journals
