Oversees initiatives that advance science collectively within the federal science community (eg Innovation Solutions Canada, Genomics Research and Development Innovation)

Oversees the pursuit of strategic science planning, partnerships and advice within the Public Health Agency of Canada (eg University Collaboration framework)

Oversees science integration amongst partners through coordination, implementing science mechanisms and using best practices (eg artificial intelligence and integration of social sciences)

Prior to joining the federal government, Mette worked in agriculture technology transfer, business development, policy development and held research positions in private pharmaceutical industry and academia.
