Current research and/or projects
Marie participates in the gene candidate-characteristic association study of wood in white and black spruce. Using bioinformatics tools and statistics, has identified sequences of white spruce that are likely to have an impact on the development of wood characteristics.
Expert in population genetics, having studied the genetic diversity of white and black spruce, white pine, ground hemlock and butternut.
