  • Improvement and documentation of agricultural practices in the production of wild blueberries in northern climates.
  • Use of legume crops to enhance N use efficiency, carbon sequestration, soil health and soil biodiversity in three ecoregions chosen to represent the different climatic conditions of Canada.
  • Resilient Crop-Livestock Systems – Unravelling C and N stabilization and restitution mechanisms in manured soils.
  • Soil C sequestration with different grazing management and forage mixtures.
  • Sustainable production and genetic enhancement of small fruit crops with improved market oriented quality attributes.
  • Sustainable phosphorus use and management in Canadian agro-ecosystems.
  • Integrated research-development-technology-transfer approach to enhance productivity and sustainability of potato production in Canada.
  • Adding value to waste materials for use as fertilizer for wild blueberry production: Symbiosis between blueberry producers, the pulp and paper industry and aluminium mines.
