Development of canola pre-breeding lines combining resistance to the fungal pathogen, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum with suitable agronomic traits and seed quality.

Characterization of the Sclerotinia sclerotiorum population in western Canada for genomic diversity and aggressiveness on canola with quantitative resistance.

Cloning and transformation of defense genes to demonstrate their contribution to resistance against Sclerotinia resistance in canola.

Mapping of quantitative trait loci conferring resistance to Sclerotinia sclerotiorum in soybean for the Prairie Provinces.
