I provide technical support for the Habitat Ecology Program within the Marine Spatial Ecology and Analysis Section.
Current research and/or projects
I help conduct field surveys, annotate imagery of underwater video, analyse data and document results to better understand animal abundance and distribution in marine environments. Products created are used to visualise information on patterns we see in nature and to determine the significance of these patterns. Currently, I contribute to projects studying the ecology of glass sponge reefs and the development of novel monitoring methods. Results inform marine spatial planning and are used to advance applied ecology and environmental research and monitoring.
