A marine cadastre for integrated ocean management and economic development.

Canada's offshore area holds enormous economic potential for the future of the country, but as the number of stakeholders using the area increases, the search to find niches for new uses and the conflicts between users are escalating. A marine cadastre for Canada’s oceans could be a core element for the integrated management of the marine region and for the sustainable development of ocean resources and the realization of their full value.
