The Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s Variety Verification Program ensures the efficacy and quality, in terms of varietal purity and identity, of Canadian variety registration and pedigreed seed certification systems, while the assessment of seed lots imported into Canada helps safeguard the country and importers against noxious weeds and poor quality seed.
