Current research and/or projects

Water quality indicators development and applications, effective management of horizontal programs involving improved integration from field data collection, to data management QA/QC, to water quality analysis and reporting, and to support policy analysis

  • Canadian Water quality index network representativity, connection with hydrometric network, land-use data and population density (with Statistics Canada)
  • Pilot on surface waters integrated monitoring reporting (physical-chemistry, CABIN and real-time information - involving province of New Brunswick)
  • History of water quality indices and index comparability Canada-US (with A. Lumb and T.C. Sharma)
  • Improving funcstions of the WQI calculator tool (work done in collaboration with CIOB and with the province of New Foundland/Labrador)
