Current research and/or projects
Using the 2500m deep sea drop camera BOOTS to evaluate benthic impacts and species distribution with mapping/models of offshore seamounts and gather baseline and monitoring data, ecological monitoring and do research to support evaluation of the large offshore area of interest. I did the original, concept design for BOOTS which was modified and improved with my approval as the technical authority when it was built under contract by Highland Technologies. BOOTS will be used for the third time in March 2018 and has been modified or improved each time.
