As a member of the Environmental Health Agro-ecosystem Team located at Brandon Research and Development Centre I am involved in the following areas of work:

Agroforestry practices and production systems on the agricultural landscape

Willow biomass production systems

Research relating to the riparian function of willow biomass production systems and the effects on surface water quality and nutrient movement on the agricultural landscape

Soil conservation and management

Living Labratory project work in the areas of soil, water (quality and quantity) and biodiversity and wildlife habitat capacity (pollinators)

- contributed to the development of Willow Buffer use guidelines in Prince Edward Island
- in the final year of research to identify the optimal intra-row planting guideline recommendations for willow buffer plantings in the prairies
