Supporting a research team with big data satellite imagery projects thorough the creation and design of programs to generate Canada wide time series image composites and data analysis for investigation of ecology, and resource management.
Current research and/or projects
Research includes implementing, testing and refining of various processing techniques of remote sensing imagery and GIS related systems to extract meaningful forest information such as species, biomass, moisture, nitrogen, chlorophyll and health within a GIS context
Co-investigator for the Radarsat – 2 Applications Research on the analysis of full polarimetric radar data for forest information. Current research is focused on hybrid analysis using Eigen decompositions, Faraday rotation corrections, and phase compensation for terrain effects.
