Current research and/or projects
Building on over 15 years of experience in pegmatite research, Dr. Victoria Maneta investigates crystallization processes that lead to rare-element enrichment in critical mineral deposits associated with granitic pegmatites.
Research and/or project statements
- Constrain crystallization dynamics and rare-element enrichment in pegmatite-forming melts through experimental simulations
- Examine Li deportment throughout the life cycle of a pegmatite system
- Develop geochemical exploration vectors for Li mineralization in pegmatites to support target definition and sustainable mining operations
- Generate a geochemical database with rare-element concentrations of key pegmatitic minerals to assist exploration for critical minerals in different pegmatite types
