Guillaume Durand owns a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Université Savoie Mont-Blanc in France and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Université de Moncton.

Dr. Durand is a researcher and team leader of the Data Science for Complex Systems team of the National Research Council of Canada (NRC).

Dr. Durand is an established researcher in computer science applied to human learning and has developed scientific leadership in learning design, learning path recommendation, competency assessment and educational data mining.

Dr. Durand has been involved in the learning and training industry for 15 years, assuming different roles within private companies and research networks, and has been with the NRC Moncton since 2008.
