Dr. Chris McLinden
Current research and/or projects
Using satellite remote sensing observations to better quantify and understand the distribution, evolution, sources and sinks of air pollutants
- Retrieval algorithm and forward model development for the retireval of atmospheric composition from UV-visible spectra
- Application of satellite data to the mapping, evaluation of trends, and quantification of emissions of surface pollutants over urban and industrial locations
- Validation of satellite remote sensing data products
- Understanding and quantifying the evolution of stratospheric ozone and ozone-related trace gases, in particular nitrogen and bromine species
- Satellite data validation
