Current research and/or projects

  • Conduct research on the measurement of resource-dependent community well- being and the interrelationships among measurement methods
  • Conduct studies on the use of economic and statistical methods to describe and explain the economic and social behaviour of forest users at various regional scales. This can involve the integration of landscape and biophysical characteristics into these models
  • Study the sociological and economic relationships between forest dependence and community well-being
  • Explore the diverse timber and non-timber values of forests
  • Develop and interpret statistics and indicators of resource-dependent community sustainability
